Shayla Williams
OWNER | Head teacher | Piano, Guitar, Ukulele
Shayla Williams teaches private and group piano lessons, as well as private guitar lessons, at Discovery Keys Music. She was inspired to become a music teacher by her high school choir teacher, and she now loves bringing the excitement of playing an instrument to others.
Shayla enjoys playing music by composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Liszt, and she especially enjoys listening to Chopin and Mendelssohn. She also loves hard rock and is a fan of Marianas Trench.
As a teacher, Shayla is passionate about helping students see that music is a skill they can grow and build for themselves. She believes everyone should have the opportunity to learn music, regardless of age or ability.
Outside of teaching, Shayla enjoys crocheting, reading, going for walks, and playing with her cats. A fun fact students may not know is that she loves elephants. One creative skill she would like to learn is pottery.
Isabella O'Sullivan
senior Teacher | voice
Isabella O’Sullivan, also known as Miss Bella, has been teaching voice lessons since 2023. She is currently working toward her Bachelor of Education degree while teaching at Discovery Keys Music.
Many families may recognize Isabella from her years of performing in musical productions at Keyano Theatre, where she has been involved for almost ten years. Most recently, she performed as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. She has completed Level 8 RCM vocal training and has earned numerous accolades in voice and theatre.
Isabella is passionate about helping students grow into confident, experienced, and authentic performers through art. She believes every voice is different and that singing is a beautiful outlet for expression. In her lessons, students have the opportunity to be silly, creative, emotional, and expressive while building strong musical skills.
While much of Isabella’s teaching focuses on musical theatre, she also explores a variety of genres with her students to help them discover what best suits their individual voice and personality. Students will also learn music theory along the way.
Isabella loves being her students’ number one fan and supporting them wherever she can, just as her own voice teacher once supported her. She is always happy to cheer students on in their extra-curricular activities, including talent shows, dance shows, and school plays when invited.
Ashley Galenzoski
Senior Teacher | guitar and ukulele
Ashley teaches guitar at Discovery Keys Music. She believes music is a language that everyone can understand, and that sharing and teaching that language helps people express themselves when words are not enough.
Ashley enjoys many styles of music, but rock and metal are always on her playlist. One of her favourite parts of teaching is seeing a student’s reaction when a concept finally makes sense or when they master a new technique.
As a teacher, Ashley hopes her students develop a lifelong love of music. She describes herself as awesome and brings that energy and encouragement into her lessons.
Outside of music, Ashley enjoys reading, dancing, and drawing. A fun fact students may not know is that she is the youngest of eight children. One instrument she would love to learn someday is the violin.
Arielle Campion
Senior Teacher | Violin
Arielle Campion teaches violin at Discovery Keys Music. Her love of music, along with the teachers who helped her enjoy learning, inspired her to become a music teacher herself.
Arielle enjoys folk, classical, and blues music, and she loves sharing her appreciation for music with her students. One of her favourite parts of teaching is watching students grow and develop confidence. She hopes her students learn that if they can do one hard thing, they can imagine what else they are capable of doing.
In her lessons, Arielle likes to have fun and support the natural learning process. She follows her students’ interests and adapts to their unique learning styles. Her teaching style is improvisational, flexible, and student-focused.
Outside of music, Arielle enjoys gardening and reading. A fun fact students may not know is that she once toured in a band. She is also currently learning German.

Afton Gillies
Teacher | Piano
Afton Gillies teaches piano at Discovery Keys Music. Her own piano teachers inspired her love of music, and she is excited to share that same kind of encouragement and learning with her students.
Afton enjoys jazz and classical music, especially pieces with key changes, unique chord progressions, and a melancholic or mysterious piano sound. She also enjoys many other styles, including Broadway musicals, pop, Scandinavian folk, and music by artists such as AURORA, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, and Disney songwriters.
As a teacher, Afton enjoys sharing what she has learned with younger students and helping them build patience, confidence, and the ability to keep going even when learning feels difficult. She hopes her students develop strong musical skills and, over time, their own love of music.
Outside of music, Afton describes herself as a creator at heart. She enjoys worldbuilding, composing, writing stories, drawing, reading, and analyzing stories and culture. She also enjoys playing creative games with her younger sister, where they roleplay characters and explore storylines.
A fun fact students may not know is that Afton is a very dedicated fan of the Disney Zombies franchise. She describes her teaching style as encouraging, and one skill she would love to learn someday is conducting.
Maria Migliniece
Teacher | Piano
Maria Migliniece teaches piano at Discovery Keys Music. Her interest in music grew from a desire to further the creative skills she developed through dance and art lessons when she was younger.
Maria enjoys performing piano music from many different eras, from the structured style of the Baroque period to the freedom and creativity of the Romantic and Contemporary eras. She also appreciates how the Classical era brings together elements of both structure and expression. Outside of piano, Maria enjoys listening to rock music, including emotional hardcore and screamo.
As a teacher, Maria is excited to explore different teaching methods and learn how each student understands and connects with music. She hopes her students gain confidence in their skills and discover the joy of performing.
Outside of music, Maria enjoys creating art through drawing, writing, animation, and amateur film and video editing. She also loves spending time outside when the weather allows and being with the people she loves. A fun fact students may not know is that during her final year of high school, her band class travelled to Scotland and England to perform and tour.
Maria describes herself as determined. One skill she would like to continue developing is creative problem-solving, especially finding new ways to help students understand what they are learning.
Teagan Gaudet
Teacher | Piano
Teagan Gaudet teaches piano at Discovery Keys Music. She has been playing piano since she was six years old and was inspired to become a teacher through her love of piano and her desire to help others learn.
Teagan especially enjoys music from the Romantic period, with Frédéric Chopin being one of her favourite composers. As a teacher, she enjoys helping students improve, discover their own passions, and learn that playing piano can be fun.
Teagan describes herself as a patient teacher. She hopes her students leave their lessons with a stronger love of music and the confidence to keep learning.
Outside of music, Teagan enjoys drawing, writing, reading, playing video games, and sometimes coding. She is bilingual and speaks both English and French fluently. She also loves Pokémon and Sanrio, and one musical skill she would like to develop further is composing music.
Davis Munro
Junior Teacher | piano
Davis Munro teaches piano at Discovery Keys Music. He was inspired to become a music teacher because he wanted to share the knowledge he has gained with others.
Davis enjoys many different styles of music, especially country and hip hop. One of his favourite parts of teaching is seeing students practice, progress, and begin to understand what they are learning.
As a teacher, Davis hopes his students learn new skills while also having fun. He describes his teaching style as chill, and he brings an easygoing approach to his lessons.
Outside of music, Davis enjoys watching Formula 1, travelling, and camping. A fun fact students may not know is that he has gone bungee jumping. One hands-on skill he would like to learn is how to rebuild an engine by himself.
Brooke Tetreault
Junior Teacher | Guitar
Brooke Tetreault teaches guitar at Discovery Keys Music. She loves music and wants to inspire others to learn it and enjoy it as much as she does.
Brooke enjoys many different genres and styles of music, with artists like Benson Boone and Billie Eilish among her favourites. One of her favourite parts of teaching is helping students discover their own passion for music. She hopes her students gain both experience and knowledge as they grow in their lessons.
Brooke describes herself as a creative teacher. She brings that creativity into her music, her lessons, and her interests outside the studio.
Outside of music, Brooke enjoys theatre, writing, acting, and watching movies. A fun fact students may not know is that she is part of an all-girls band and also plays in her school concert band. One instrument she would love to learn someday is the cello.
Jasper Harper
Junior Teacher | Guitar
Jasper Harper teaches guitar at Discovery Keys Music. He really enjoys playing guitar
and wanted to become a teacher so he could pass that knowledge on to younger
students, just like his own teachers did for him.
Jasper enjoys country music, especially artists like Colter Wall and Charley Crockett.
One of the things he enjoys most about teaching is encouraging students to follow their
dreams and continue learning guitar.
In his lessons, Jasper hopes students gain more knowledge and confidence with their
instrument. He describes himself as a caring teacher and wants families to know that he
is easy to work with and supportive of his students.
Outside of music, Jasper enjoys fishing. A fun fact students may not know is that he has
five younger siblings. One musical skill he would like to keep working on is being able to
pick up new music more quickly.
